International Ministry

The International ministry at the OU Wesley helps students find a place to call home every day on the OU Campus. We provide radical hospitality to the International community at OU by helping those who are literally and spiritually lost so that they might find a home at OU, but more importantly a savior in Jesus Christ.

Rev. Fuxia Wang has led our International Ministry for years, and is now stepping into an exciting new opportunity at the UMC Oklahoma Conference office. We are so excited for her, and are looking forward to the ways God will bless her as she has been a blessing to us! The Wesley will continue to be committed to providing English classes and weekly Bible studies for our international and multi-cultural community as we work with students and their families in community orientation; and above all she shares the Good News with everyone in order to make disciples of Jesus Christ.

We will host a farewell gathering with Fuxia during the fall semester, and hope to announce details soon!

In addition, international students gather on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. to learn about American culture, idioms and other topics. Emphasis is placed on improving English language skills and learning about life in America. Our International students are an important part of our community at the Wesley, and many choose to be part of our Tuesday night worship at 7pm as well! We sing songs of praise, listen to God’s Word, share communion, and enjoy fellowship together over a meal! We serve International Foods twice a month during Tuesday Night Dinner after worship, as well as a monthly Fellowship for International Students.

TOEFL/ESL Classes

Tuesdays | 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Fast vocabulary building, Q&A on grammar, learn speaking, reading and writing skills. Learn American culture with fun activities, and enjoy FREE food!

International Fellowship

Come and enjoy fellowship and Bible study with free food featuring homemade authentic global cuisine (African, Chinese, etc.), pingpong games and friends!
