the 1215 club
"My name is Chad Sexton and I have had the pleasure of supporting the OU Wesley Foundation for several years. However, up until January 25, 2011, I had never attended Vespers on a Tuesday night.
Immediately upon walking through the front door, I felt very welcome. The whole place was filled with students and buzzing with excitement. Nearly every seat was occupied during the worship service. The worship team didn’t seem to be focused on anything other than praising Jesus…and the students joined right along with them. The words within the songs and the message were deep, encouraging, convicting, and challenging. I felt the Spirit’s power radiating through the entire service. I must admit that my favorite part of the experience was communion. As soon as the table was opened, the students literally rushed to the front of the room. It was incredible to see them be so eager to experience God in this way.
Those who participate in this ministry really seem to care for each other deeply. It made me wish I had sought a campus ministry when I was a college student. Your support of this ministry truly is impacting the lives of these young adults."
On a typical day at The Wesley students gather together around 12p.m. to eat lunch, relax between classes, and seek refuge from the daily grind of college life. They leave The Wesley renewed and fortified, ready to face the challenges of daily student life. Frequently our staff members use lunch as a time to mentor and counsel students. We covet your daily prayers at this special time each day in our ministry.
This ministry continues to grow because of two important contributions from you, prayers and financial gifts. The Wesley has a great way for our supporters to keep us strong and moving forward. It’s called the 1215 club. By joining the 1215 club you commit to lift up The Wesley in prayer every day at 12 p.m. and to make a minimum contribution of $15 a month to the ministry.
With your financial contribution we can afford to transform the lives of young people by providing worship, fellowship meals, Bible studies, and hiring additional staff.
Please prayerfully consider becoming a part of the 1215 Club today to help us reach students for tomorrow and beyond. If you are interested in learning more about this program contact Daniel Dennison at
