Daniel grew up in Flower Mound, Texas but moved to Norman in 1999 to attend OU. After graduating from OU, Daniel began working full time as the associate director of The Wesley while going to seminary part time at Phillips Theological Seminary in Tulsa. He was appointed the director of The Wesley in June of 2008. He absolutely loves working with college students and knows The Wesley backward and forward after being extremely active for 3 ½ years as a student (2 of which he spent working part time as an evangelism intern) and 6 years as the full time associate director.

He is an avid sports fan and claims the Texas Rangers, OKC Thunder and OU football and basketball as his favorite teams to watch. He enjoys playing all sports and can be regularly found at the Reaves park softball fields or the racquetball courts at the OU gym.

Daniel met his wife, Mindy, when she was working as the music assistant at McFarlin UMC in Norman and married her in March of 2006. Mindy is head of the vocal music department at Southmoore High School. She enjoys directing The Wesley choir and cooking for The Wesley students. Daniel & Mindy have a young daughter, Ruthie, who was born in September of 2009. She has become a regular fixture at The Wesley and loves to be around people. When not chasing after Ruthie, Daniel and Mindy love to travel any chance they can and enjoy watching movies and television when time allows.

Daniel’s advice to students: Get plugged into a campus ministry! The Wesley was a life transforming ministry for me when I was a student at OU and it has been for 1,000s of others over the past 50 years. My hope and prayer is that The Wesley will feel like home to you, but if for some reason it doesn't, I want you plugged in at any of the other wonderful Christian ministries OU has to offer. College is a chance for you to experience and learn many things, but one of the most important things you can do as you learn to live on your own is make your faith your own and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and the best way to do that is to be connected with a Christian ministry that will challenge and encourage you on your journey. I look forward to getting to know you, grace and peace…
